On arrival, you will be transferred to your accommodation for your check-in. Spend three nights stay at peaceful luxury resort Amanjiwo, overlooks Borobudur, the world’s largest Buddhist sanctuary, in the rural heartland of Central Java.

Hands-on experience of making a batik and bring home your very own batik masterpiece!

Bali: Jungle Trek and Canoeing with Special Balinese Brunch

"The sounds of the forest is what makes the trees here live and die"

Find out the meaning of the phrase in this signature trip. You will experience a pleasant 1 hour trek through the jungle while learning about the sounds of the forest and its correlation to their circle of life. Your trek finishes at a lakeside, where you will board on a traditional wooden canoe and ride along the lake while marveling at the beautiful panorama. At the end of the journey, you will
disembark and enjoy a special Balinese al fresco brunch in the nature, where we set up the whole thing including your private chefs and butler.

Afterwards, head to Ulun Danu Bratan Temple, an iconic temple often seen on many a Balinese postcard. This temple is dedicated to the Balinese water goddess Dewi Danu and many ceremonies and offerings take place here.

Continue the drive to Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. Located on the foothills of Mt. Batukaru, this 53,000 hectares area is home to Bali's most iconic rice terrace. In this trip, you will have the option to walk / cycle through the rice fields to observe local farmers and learn about the different kinds of rice planted here, which includes the high quality red rice.

At the end of the trek, you will be taken to The Artist's Corner, a private and hidden section up the small hill where you will enjoy Balinese lunch.

Walk the footsteps of Elizabeth Gilbert from the “Eat Pray Love” movie. Begin with a panoramic cycling through the village and rice fields. Upon arriving at the iconic house, enjoy Balinese snack, coffee and tea before learn to make Balinese offering and joining the morning prayer.

Experience cooking class at "the house" used as the movie set in Ubud, where you'll learn to prepare various authentic Balinese dishes.

After lunch, visit Liyer’s spirit house from the movie and experience palm reading session with Liyer’s son. Afterwards, engage in a Balinese cleansing melukat ceremony led by Balinese priest at the sacred holly spring temple.

Enjoy your breakfast at the resort before your flight to Sumba. Just an hour flight from Bali you will find another world of remote and rugged beauty. Sumba: Waterfall Trekking

Today after breakfast, you will head out for Blue Waterfall Trek. Your day starts with 45-minute drive through the Wanukaka Valley on your way to Matayangu, the blue waterfall. Your local guides will lead you on a 1.5 hour, downhill trek to the breathtaking blue lagoon at the base of the waterfall. Enjoy a dip into the blue waters while the local guide prepares a picnic for a fresh leisurely lunch.

Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and swimming in this beautiful setting before return to the resort for dinner and a free evening.

We work with the Sumba Foundation to continually improve the quality of life on Sumba Island. This strong partnership has significantly contributed to improving health, nutrition, education, and overall well-being for many indigenous Sumbanese people.

Today, you will have the opportunity to explore and take part in some of these impactful projects, starting with a visit to the foundation’s headquarters.
Depending on your interests, you can choose to visit a local water project, teaching English classes, tour a Malaria-combating health clinic, or volunteer
with the local school lunch program.

Afterward, you will return to the resort for lunch and spend your afternoon on the island at your leisure.
